About

I am a 20 something individual who enjoys to eat. I’ve always wanted to share my top lists for food, but I wanted to challenge myself and…take it to whole another level, by featuring only entrees that cost less than $15. ¶ Guidelines that my blog will follow are: ¶ My 5 Foodie Commandments ¶ 1) Never pay for the ambience of a restaurant. ultimate happiness resides solely upon the food. ¶ 2) Alcohol is never included in the $15 cap of the entree. ¶ 3) Your foodie experience will always be enhanced by a fellow foodie. ¶ 4) ALWAYS ask for recommendations.

A Good Foundation

A Good Foundation

Just as every dish has one key secret ingredient as the basis of what makes it spectacular, my blog’s key ingredient is that it is catered…solely to cheap eats — specifically entrees under $15. From time to time, I will feature items that may be listed as a “small plate” on the menu, but they will still fall under %15. ¶ Because I live in Seattle, I will start by posting my finds around the area. However, all my posts follow the secret ingredient: THEY MUST BE AN ENTREE THAT IS $15 LESS. ¶ This is not an easy feat. For that reason, I have created a list of commandments that are followed when surveying what food is offered.

Temperature Perfect at Quinn’s

Quinn’sCapitol Hill: 1001 E. Pike Street ¶ Average Price: $14 per plate, Splurge ¶ Just a couple of blocks from Broadway, you’ll find the darkly lit Quinn’s Pub. Upon entering you see a long bar featuring an array of beers and wines of the sort, but the prize is in the food. ¶ I came in here late Wednesday night, with a fellow foodie, to see what all the hype was about. We were seated within 10 minutes in the upstairs area, and I immediately started asking what the best dishes of the house were.

Comfort Food at Henry’s Bento

Henry’s Bento’s Cold Noodle with Chicken502 S. King Street, Seattle (I-District), Chinese, Cheap Eats ¶ Average dish price: $5 ¶ For most of you that hail from either Vancouver, LA, SF, or any densely populated city with good Asian food galore, you might find Seattle lacking a bit in this area. Ever since I have moved here, I have been on this quest to find good dumplings, beef noodle soup, etc. Frozen dumplings by O’Tasty in the 99 ranch freezer aisle just don’t cut it when you’ve grown up on the homemade kind.

Start your mornings at Tilikum Place Cafe

Tilikum Place CafeBelltown: 407 Cedar Street ¶ Average Price: $7 ¶ After a fun night before, the first thing you wake up to is a growling stomach. And maybe a pounding headache. Your immediate thoughts are where is the closest place I can grab good food? ¶ Before finding Tilikum Place Cafe, brunch visits were made to Macrina Bakery Cafe and Portage Bay, both of which were respectively long waits and recently sub-par brunch food.

a.k.a. Mediocre RestaurantsWhile most of my posts are featured on restaurants that have been great places to eat, I feel compelled to start a list of restaurants that I have tried, but did not have that WOW factor. I will constantly update the list as I try more restaurants. ¶ Belltown ¶ – Ventana, reason : flavors too rich for my liking; decent dishes are Ventana Burger and Pork Ribs ¶ – Palace Kitchen — happy hour — very limited menu; their dinner options are usually great but due to my $15 price ceiling, I cannot…
